So many people refer to themselves as tailors, but the fact of the matter is, just because someone can sew, does not make them a tailor! In fact most dry cleaning firms have a tailor at their location… But how skilled are they?

A great tailor is like a great dry cleaning firm, they help to keep your wardrobe better than new, or restore pieces to their original condition once damaged. Both an art and a skill; garment construction, fabric types, draping and understanding the fit of a garment are fundamental skills a great tailor needs to possess. But what separates a tailor from a “great” tailor? Tailors that are highly creative, as disassembling a garment after it has been constructed requires creativity, skill, and patience.

Great tailors, can save a garment that has been damaged during wear, and/or custom fit pieces to your body. And at Jeeves our tailoring department has transformed thousand of garments to perfection for our clients as well as saved countless others that were destined for the dustbin. Its about the transformation of an ill fitting garment to one that is custom to your body. Because a garment that fits you well, no matter the cost, will always outshine the most expensive garment!!
